The shortlist is out, and Kiron is in the mix twice at one of East Africa’s key industry events.

Kiron Interactive has been named a finalist at the 2026 Sports Betting East Africa Awards, shortlisted for Leader in Virtual Sports and Supplier of the Year. For a company that has spent 25 years focused on virtual sports, this kind of recognition carries weight.
The two categories speak to different parts of the business. Leader in Virtual Sports is about the product itself, how well it performs, how engaging it is and whether it actually keeps players coming back. Supplier of the Year is broader. It looks at how a company shows up for its partners day to day, from delivery right through to commercial impact. Being shortlisted in both suggests Kiron is doing more than building solid content. We are delivering it in a way that works where it matters.
The SBEA Awards have become a strong signal of performance in the East African market. It is a region where expectations are high and patience is low. Products need to be reliable, fast and commercially effective. Anything less tends to get replaced quickly. Recognition here reflects how a supplier performs in real conditions, not just on paper. This year’s ceremony takes place on 22 April at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
Steven Spartinos, Co-CEO at Kiron, said: “These nominations reflect the areas that matter most to us. Virtual sports has always been at the core of Kiron, and being recognised for both product and supplier performance means a lot. Being shortlisted on home ground makes it even more meaningful. We are an African company, so to be recognised here, in a market we know well, is something the whole team is proud of. We’re looking forward to the event in Nairobi.”
For Kiron, the shortlist is a useful marker. It shows the business is holding its ground in a competitive market and still moving in the right direction. The next step is to keep that consistency and turn it into deeper, longer term partnerships across the region.
