Kiron Shortlisted for Virtual Sports Supplier at the SBC Awards 2026

The recognition comes during Kiron’s 25th anniversary year and reflects the strength of a category that has been at the heart of the business from the start.
Virtual sports has moved on significantly over that time. Players now shift easily between live sport, short form content and quick entertainment sessions across mobile, online and retail. Operators need products that fit naturally into those habits and still perform reliably across different markets, devices and infrastructure conditions.
That is where Kiron continues to deliver.
Over the past year, the business has expanded its virtual sports portfolio, entered new regulated markets and launched content with operators across Africa, Europe and Latin America. This has included the continued rollout of Kiron.Lite, the launch of Fans World Cup and further investment in hockey through titles such as Legends Shootout and NHL 5-on-5.
These products give operators more depth in markets where hockey has a strong following, while adding greater variety to the wider virtual sports portfolio. They also reflect a clear product approach: build around recognisable sports, familiar formats and the way people actually use betting platforms today.
The focus is not on adding products for the sake of volume. It is on creating accessible entertainment that works in real operating environments and gives partners the flexibility to serve different audiences.
That means getting the basics right. Products need to work well on mobile and in retail, remain accessible across different levels of connectivity and deliver a simple, consistent player experience.
The SBC Awards’ Virtual Sports Supplier category recognises companies that continue to move the category forward through strong products, dependable technology, broad market reach and a clear understanding of the player experience.
For Kiron, the shortlist is a strong marker of progress.
Twenty five years brings experience, but experience only matters when it leads to better products, stronger partnerships and a sharper understanding of how the market is changing. This recognition reflects the work happening across the business to keep building on Kiron’s position and to keep the portfolio relevant for today’s audiences.
It also reflects the wider team behind the products. Development, technology, operations, commercial teams and customer support all play a part in making sure the content performs consistently wherever it is delivered.
The winners will be announced at the SBC Awards ceremony in Lisbon on 1 October 2026, following this year’s SBC Summit.
Whatever happens on the night, the focus stays the same: keep building virtual sports experiences that are easy to access, enjoyable to play and preform for the operators delivering them.
